Biography

Terry McDonald is a board-certified Physician Assistant with a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from DeSales University. Originally from New Jersey, Terry built her clinical foundation in emergency medicine, orthopedics, and pain management—gaining deep insight into both acute care and chronic conditions.

Her own personal health journey sparked a passion for functional medicine, leading her to train with The Institute for Functional Medicine. She now focuses on helping patients address the root causes of illness and optimize their health through personalized, lifestyle-based care.

Living in Castle Rock, Colorado, Terry enjoys life with her husband, Michael, and their two children, Ellie and Mason. Together, they explore the outdoors through hiking and biking, grow their own garden, and find creative, fun ways to bring nutrient-dense foods into everyday life.

Role at RC

As a Physician Assistant, Terry works directly with patients to promote long-term wellness by developing personalized treatment plans, encouraging healthy lifestyle habits, reviewing lab and imaging results, and providing clear, supportive answers to patient questions. Her role focuses on integrative, patient-centered care designed to optimize health and performance. Her favorite part of the job is meeting patients face-to-face and witnessing their transformation as they become the best, most empowered versions of themselves.

EVALUATION

We begin with a thorough, whole-body movement screening process designed to identify the root causes of your pain or injury. Our experts use a system known as the Select Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and injury risk screening.
